It's challenge time!

Comment with Just One Thing you've accomplished in the last 24 hours or so. It doesn't have to be a hard thing, or even a thing that you think is particularly awesome. Just a thing that you did.

Feel free to share more than one thing if you're feeling particularly accomplished!

Extra credit: find someone in the comments and give them props for what they achieved!

Nothing is too big, too small, too strange or too cryptic. And in case you'd rather do this in private, anonymous comments are screened. I will only unscreen if you ask me to.

Go!

I watched a spider spinning its web in the tree in my garden.

That sounds nice. What kind of tree is it?

I don’t know much about trees, and it was here when we moved in, but a friend told me it’s a Japanese maple. Its leaves are a beautiful red colour.

Thats lovely! I like to see the changing colors of fall but there are so few trees that change here.

The leaves are red for most of the year, not just in autumn. Here’s a photo of it three weeks after the summer solstice:

A mostly-paved garden with a few raised beds. Toward the back is a small green shed and a small-ish tree with dark red leaves. A train is passing behind the back fence.

J and I went out to get his meds from the er dr. He was in the er yesterday for about 3 hours. He is doing fine btw.

While out we got fried chicken for lunch & stopped by the library. Its been so long since I have been to the library. It was lovely. 😀💙 Not a lot of people, all properly wearing masks,& hand sanitizer available! Amazing!

Made another successful soup.

Made the soup fit in the refrigerator.

Decided more or less what to do with a fandom space: there's an incompatible person in there, and Slack doesn't allow blocking. I will let the organizers know, and hope they eventually migrate away. (I cannot share a space with that person. I'm not active in that space. It's not fair to ask to remove that person, who has presumably done nothing wrong in that space. I should give the organizers a reason I'm leaving.)

All good work!

It’s a shame Slack doesn’t allow blocking. It’s a good piece of software in many ways, but I do dislike the lack of block tools and the terrible implementation of threading.
