Did an open day event for prospective applicants to the course I teach on.

Watched avengers infinity war this morning with my partner.

Put in grocery order to be delivered this afternoon.

Got our early holiday present to ourselves & opened it. Its an electric knife sharpener. J had fun sharpening 2 of our kitchen knives & a pocket knife. It works well so far. 😁

Helped celebrate my mom's birthday last night at their place. We had carry-out from a local Thai restaurant, and my oldest sister baked the cake. We had ice cream with it. Pine apple upside-down cake, which doesn't seem to be too common around here but she did a great job as always. Dealt with wonky wi-fi here in my building again. Said neighbor and I agree that when the roofers are done here the wi-fi will be back to normal. We think they're almost done. We're getting solar panels, plus other roofing repairs.

That sounds like a nice party! Solar panels sound like a worthwhile thing to put up with wonky wifi for a bit.

I successfully started on a weeding project by giving myself only enough things to examine as I had time to work on them. Yay, time management!

Made an experimental soup. It was okay but not great.

Partner and I had a similar experience with a recent attempt at marrow-and-butternut squash soup. It required the addition of a lot of spices and chilli flakes to make it palatable!
