Picked-up New Years Eve's mail, got carry-out Eggs Benedict and coffee for breakfast, re-dried my blanket to fluff it up, took a nap and am watching cooking shows to get ideas.

Mm, eggs benedict! I hope the cooking shows provide suitable inspiration.

They did. I really want to try the Sticky Marmalade pudding and the scrambled egg omelette. I kept the show on my DVR so I can watch it again. I keep thinking I should get Jamie Oliver's easy cookbook.

Did a couple of Lego sets with the children, and took them for a long walk.

Prepped a bunch of DW/LJ posts as I don't think I'll have time to write again come Monday...

I made dinner last night--short ribs in the slow cooker, plus boiled potatoes. It doesn't sound like much but most of my time and energy was devoted to caring for my husband who had major surgery on Monday and was discharged home on Tuesday.

That sounds like a delicious dinner and I hope your husband was able to appreciate it. Best wishes for his recovery.

Changed air conditioning filter.

Bought groceries.

I went back to work and got caught up on everything that had transpired since I had left.

Hung out again w/neighbor across the hall. Went with him to pick up some things at the local Walgreens. Also talked w/some other neighbors.





Phoned my mom to say I found a letter which she is expecting. She's going to pick it up tomorrow mid-morning.
