I solved an obnoxious real-time tech puzzle (how do we get sound out of the rearranged entertainment system) while also incidentally preventing my housemate from being exposed to whatever feels their mother was having about seeing their face again after about two years of low contact/no-contact (extremely warranted).

Wow. Well done on both those things. I hope housemate is safe.

Housemate is safe because they are a) of age; b) here and not in the same state as Overbearing Parentals Who Don't Believe in Disability or Gender; c) because there was no audio of whatever feelings were being had, and d) because they have enlisted an email rule that forwards all email from either parental to partner & me, and dunks the original in the trash. Partner & I will tell them to fish in the trash when it's actually important and not just unwanted contact or emotional abuse.
