I salvaged a day that was almost a write-off in terms of productivity with a few solid hours of work in the evening, and during those hours I wrote words on my dissertation chapter.

Today I managed my anxiety a lot better than I thought I could. Not brilliantly, but better than I expected, which is a small delight and a big relief. Something to keep in mind for the next time anxiety-management doesn't work as well as I wish it would: other times it works better than I think it will, and hopefully they balance each other out.
