Came back to the pad immediately after breakfast made by my father. Hung out rest of the day w/neighbor across the hall. A next-door neighbor also stopped by to chat.

Parking duty at rugby practice for Youngest.

Took both children to my least favourite type of birthday party (disco). Managed to get myself on the "helping out with food and drink prep in the kitchen" crew to avoid the bulk of the party.

I finished putting up more lights, so that the entire intended line of pulsating rainbow color is possible. And only broke one of the supports in the process.

Looked at the wind outside, made a prediction, and got the computers shut down before the power went out messily. (Several flickers before going out for three hours.)

Suggested some powerless activities. Like organizing two problem corners.

Got a good start on a cold dinner before the power came back.
