Submitted to /Nature/, and if that is a no-thanks, we shall try /Tectonophysics/. Fingers (and petrographic optics) crossed.

We sent the palaeotsunami paper to /International Journal of Coal Geology/. Our 'novel idea' concerning palaeotsunamites is that we've been able to compare micro-, meso-, and macroscopic features from within a stack of clastic sedimentary layers, and further compare predicted geometries with serial near-field observations.

Here I am, approaching retirement, and writing down all the wild ideas....

Hung out again most of the day w/neighbor across the hall. A next-door neighbor had the 2 of us over for a little while.





My downstairs neighbor's minor surgery was a success, and her boyfriend/fiance? is spending some quality time with her here. I hope to make it down to see them.
