Took some volunteered help and was really grateful I did. My office is a lot tidier and I'm far better prepared for an outreach activity than I was.

Oh, excellent. I've been thinking of you and how busy you must be, since I haven't noticed you much in the comments of the other half of the week.

I offered to stay out and take over for people so they could go back and write up their reports while the incident was fresh in their minds. (Nobody got physically hurt.)

I was the upright human for the warranty repair on the heat pump. There had been a leak, outside, which was why it couldn't get up to temperature and would then shut down.

I improved my reputation for second sight by going out with pocket heater packs just after the tech had "enjoyed" a personal encounter with the refrigerant. (I had noted him mentioning that it was chilly outside, and then noted that he'd been out there for Quite Some Time and might appreciate some Warmz.)
