Started thinking about my defense talk. (epp!) (Also ate an amazing mango and sticky rice popsicle.)

A friend is paying me to help clean/sort out her house (mostly giving me all the tasks she's been avoiding cos she dislikes them), so today I painted part of her living room. I feel very accomplished. :)

That sounds like it could be a pretty good arrangement for you both... and definitely an accomplishment.

I think it has been really good for us both: she feels less "stuck" and is excited about getting her house in a state where she can invite people over and be proud of it; I'm feeling useful and glad to help my friend, which is good for my (extremely poor at the moment) mental health and helps keep me motivated to get my own stuff done too.

Also, ate pancakes with the toddler. That was great.

I had pancakes today, too! It's a great way to spend time with loved ones, isn't it? I hope it helped balance out the work.

Yes it is. We also picked blackberries together and put those in the pancakes. She ate most of them before we got to the pancake-making stage, but that was OK too.

I'm super jealous now! It will be another six months before we get blackberries.

I haven't really accomplished anything today :/ although I suppose I did eat three good meals today when I really didn't want to, so that's something?

Acquired two fabulous shirts for myself and one good scarf for friend D from charity shops; had great fun spending the day with the Boything; and stuck to my boundaries like whoa.

Reorganized the bins in the back of the RV so they're in their proper order again after someone else loaded them in wrong.
