It's challenge time!

Comment with Just One Thing that you've accomplished in the past twenty-four hours. It doesn't have to be a hard thing, or even a thing you think is particularly awesome. Just a thing that you did.

Feel free to share more than one thing if you’re feeling accomplished!

Extra credit: find someone in the comments and give them props for what they achieved!

Nothing is too big, too small, too strange, or too cryptic. And in case you'd rather do this in private, anonymous comments are screened.

Go!

Went and got my Botox treatment today. 30 different injections... mostly felt like mosquito bites, but I have to resist the urge to scratch the itches.

Not really scary. The hardest part was a) going in when I had a migraine in the first place and didn't have my sunglasses, and b) remembering not to scratch the injection sites when they itch.

I did not actually visit violence on anyone.

I did scream, but by that point, I think everyone agreed I was well within my rights to lose my temper, and I didn't do it in the office. Hell, no one was even out on the balcony when I did it.

I love them, I cannot help it! I haven't gone on to Sims 3 yet because I like having control of a whole town, so am on Sims 2. I get so caught up in their little lives and stories. It's probably sad, but also awesome.

I have my favorite family in Sims 2 that lives in Strangetown. :) In Sims 3 it's funny seeing what happens around the town. I have mods so I can see what's happening around town and I get some funny updates. lol

Om nom nom. (I am now curious as to what type of currant you're harvesting, as red currant could apply to two types in the Pacific Northwest alone, and what type of processing. Forgive me, I miss berrying.)

This badger :-)

We've got five bushes (of which one is tiny and small and doesn't crop much; it's still settling in). I pull ripe clusters off still attached to their stems until I've got about a full colander (colander because it means at least some of the caterpillars and spiders find their way back out of the harvest at this stage in the process...). Then I go find somewhere sunny to sit, and I work through the colander, removing individual berries from the stems, dropping the berries onto trays (single-layer) and the stems into the compost; and _then_ the trays go into the freezer, to be bagged up once frozen & pulled out as needed. (My grandmother, Grossmutti, separated berries from stems by combing a fork along them, but I get distressed about the extent to which this causes tearing/juice-leakage and makes freezing messier, so I tend to do it all by hand.)

If there isn't space in the freezer for all the trays, a bowl gets set aside to be turned into cake (basic white sponge; spread batter in a deep roasting tin; scatter redcurrants liberally over the top; bake; sprinkle with vanilla sugar on serving -- Ribiselkuchen, food of my ancestors, etc).

This process is repeated Several Times -- typically about twice per bush (excepting the tiny bush as above).

... in which I worddump, sorry, but you DID ask ;)

I found and fixed an obscure bug in the code at work. And I was smart enough, when I found the weird thing, to discuss it with our system architect, which means that I fixed it *right* with his input, rather than halfway.
