I vacuumed the stairs (which desperately needed it), and put dishes and laundry on to wash (which I do almost every day, but I think today I need to acknowledge that it's something I do almost every day and that's worth celebrating).

I told a doctor I didn't want the intervention they suggested for a non-emergency medical problem.

Traveled to London with a friend, to see another friend who is over visiting from the USA.

Had a brilliant day together, veggie Indian for lunch, vegan cakes at the Wellcome Collection cafe, slow browse of the exhibition, cocktails at St Pancras Hotel, mad dash for a train home which then sat driverless at the station for 45 minutes. Enjoyed listening to podcasts and chatting to a retired artist and his big fluffy dog while we waited.

I woke up, did dishes from last night & then made Okinomiyaki, Japanese cabbage pancakes, for breakfast. Then I went to work, & did more dishes on my lunch break. Then I made an easy lunch for my partner & was very happy a meeting got canceled. That was my last work day of the year. My company was very generous with time off around the holidays so I'm off tomorrow & Monday.
