Just One Thing (09 March 2023)
Mar. 9th, 2023 12:23 pm It's challenge time!
Comment with Just One Thing you've accomplished in the last 24 hours or so. It doesn't have to be a hard thing, or even a thing that you think is particularly awesome. Just a thing that you did.
Feel free to share more than one thing if you're feeling particularly accomplished! Extra credit: find someone in the comments and give them props for what they achieved!
Nothing is too big, too small, too strange or too cryptic. And in case you'd rather do this in private, anonymous comments are screened. I will only unscreen if you ask me to.

That makes five doses of COVID vaccine in total between 2021 and today.
Getting to the chemist and back was a nightmare, because my powerchair kept stalling out on kerb cuts.
The battery went from 96% charged when I first left the house to 0% charged in a very short distance (I travelled 900 metres between leaving my front door to getting back to my front door).
I think even tho I charged it yesterday, two years of not leaving the house much has caused the battery to decay faster than it otherwise would have.
and as a result, there were several times I had to take the powerchair quite some distance along busy roads and hope the cars wouldn't run over me, because I couldn't use the footpaths, because the kerb cuts to get onto the footpaths were too steep for the very flat battery.
On one occasion I got badly stuck on a steep kerb cut and had no choice but to reverse with zero visibility backwards onto the road with no way of knowing whether an oncoming car might hit me.
Also, partly because of all the roadworks (road and footpaths), and partly because of battery issues, it was very hard to stay more than about 50cm from other people on the footpath - and I was the only person wearing a face mask.
