So far avoided crying or hiding from the world, despite having to deal with a ton of dirty, unpleasant, scary responsibilities and having to look after everybody, when I'm so tired that life feels particularly unfair.

Even more tired (and upset because tired) now, but I survived today!

Helped plunge a toilet I had just. cleaned. Then cleaned it again.

Went and had a shower rather than engage in a conversation about politics with the out-laws (staunch Conservative voters) on the last day of their week-long visit to help me out with toddler care whilst Partner is away.

Lots of deep breathing.

Oh well done you. It must have been a particularly grim day to talk to Tories, too, if the horrific conversations I'd witnessed about immigration and the UK political system today are anything to go by.

It was the comment about how Cameron wasn't taking a hard enough stance against the threat posed by UKIP that prompted my hasty exit from the room.

I shelved (almost) all of the books even though it would have been so easy to say "w/e, I'll do it on Monday!" because it's an inservice day. Now I can use my time and energy better to improve things instead of just trying to keep up when I get back in on Monday morning.
