I pilled one cat, who has decided to watch the fireworks out the window. My finger-shy method is, after prying open the jaw, make a feint at the front of the mouth. While kitty is attempting to defend that, pop the pill in the side of the mouth which doesn't close quite as far.

Made food.

I started writing another book. This one is nonfiction. I sat down to take a few notes for a blog post and suddenly I have notes on the first two chapters. Woops.

I made it through the demonstrations of amateur explosives and went to bed at a sensible time.

Hung out with some neighbors again and worked out.





Then after hanging iout a bit here at the pad, my personal assistant and I took the train and a bus to my parents' place. He dropped me off, and I stayed there for most of the evening. In addition to a very delicious cookout, I wanted my father to look at my hearing aids because there was a problem. He fixed it for now at least. It turned out to be a build-up of earwax on at least one of them. I got a cleaning kit along with the hearing aids, but have yet to actually use it. So for now, they are working better.





Then I came back here to watch the fireworks out on the deck with 2 neighbors. One of them had trailmix, and he offered some to us.
